In the past companies had to use technology which produced pollution. These days there are many companies around the world that are going green in order to reduce their carbon footprints. Many car companies are manufacturing Hybrid car which consume less gas. People are becoming conscious and aware of carbon footprints. They buy products only from environment friendly producers. This results in companies going green to attract more consumers. When a company recycles the used products it saves money as well as energy.
The major companies which enforced green scheme are General Electric, Home Depot, DuPont and Bank of America, and there are many more. These days Bank of America uses less paper compared to earlier and they also recycle paper. The company offers its employees cash to a certain limit on the purchase of any hybrid vehicle. Because of this initiative the bank has not lost its customers rather many more are added. With a similar purpose General Electric started manufacturing products that are environmental friendly. They came up with so-called solar panels through which they gained billions. Earlier this company caused much pollution but now they took steps to groom their plant areas.
For many years DuPont faced much criticism by the environmentalists for polluting the environment. But now the company has introduced steps to reduce carbon footprints and has successfully cut down on pollution at least by fifty percent. Home depot utilizes green technology. They are the largest wood retailers in the world. Now the company has reduced on cutting wood and has started planting trees. As responsible stewards we need to maintain clean and safer environment.
