Carbon Emissions and Car Transport

Since the industrial revolution cars have become the ultimate advantage for the working class of each society. Providing comfortable, self-esteemed and relatively fast transportation, automobiles are the necessity of every family and the main need for each business. However, the consequences they bear for our climate are far than negative -by the work of the fuel fed engines, the air gets more and more polluted with the increase of the car transportation rates thus providin circumstances for the development of the deadly grennhouse effect.

The petrol production supplies copletely the needs of the car transport. It is a common truth that almost every fourth person in Europe and the USA has a car, every household has at least one or two cars. Calculating the numbers from only USA and the EU is impressive enough to show that the more cars are being used, the more fuel is needed, and the more fuel is being used, the more carbon is released in the planet’s atmosphere. Thus the process, usually reffered to as the greenhouse efect, occurs. The carbon released in the air does not allow the solar radiation reflected by the earth’s surface to escape the atmosphere and keeps it within the air. Additionally the planet receives solar radiation constantly as it is being heated by the sun which increases the levels of solar radiation influencing the temperature of the globe gradually and leading to a significantly negative climate change.

In order to preserve the climate, the ozone layer and the atmosphere as a whole, scientists are currently working on many projects for cars using electricity, biofuels and other alternative energy sources. Thus they aim to decrease the amounts of carbon released in the atmosphere and preserve the comfort and the ease of the car transportation.
